Who makes the brightest LED bicycle trail light?

Feb 19, 2007 by wonderer | Posted in Cycling

I was shopping for helmet mounted bike lights for my bro when he was in Iraq. The Petzl and Princeton Tec LED lights were the brands that consistently outshined the others in their price range.

Who makes the brightest LED bicycle tail light?

Feb 19, 2007 by wonderer | Posted in Cycling

Does it matter.

Even the elcheapo ones can be seen from miles away. For tail lights go with more not brighter. A motorist that sees a whole bunch of lights thinks a hole bunch of bicycles.

Even the brightest one will dull

whats better LED or HID bicycle lights?

Jan 06, 2010 by sike! | Posted in Cycling

figuring out what light i should buy for bicycling at night. i well be doing on-road riding. LED bicycle light or a HID? i want to know the pros and cons of both lights and which one you thing is best.

Over the years I've always used HID or Halogen lights as LED's just were not very bright, battery life is great but their light output suffered. Newer LED's can be very bright, I used one this past fall during 12 hr race that was as bright as my HID,

Which would make a better bicycle light?

Nov 10, 2007 by Richard | Posted in Cycling

Out of these 2 that are on ebay:
also don't suggest anything else unless it is 10 dollar or under.

Should I get the 56 LED light or the other one? Which one is better and why? I'm new to cycling so please tell me what would be good

Between the two designs, the 5 LED Power Beam is better. It uses 4xAAA batteries vs. the 56 LED design which uses 3xAA batteries. The 4xAAA higher voltage makes the light brighter. The current draw from the 5 LED design is less, meaning that it should

I have a Blackburn Quadrant 4 LED Front Light for my bicycle...?

but can't work out how to change the batteries.

Any help would be most welcome.

Thanks

BGU
I should have said it is not the rechargeable one, but the one that takes 4 AA batteries -- they last so long

I can't say for sure but if it's like the rest of the battery powered headlights, the front lights themselves detach or can be removed for battery replacement. The lights should separate from the body housing by using a small button at the front of the

Bicyclist killed in hit-and-run accident

07.02.14

"She just had plans," sister Emilee Shafizadeh said. "She was definitely our adventure gal."

The accident

Barton was headed south on a bicycle along 700 East when she was hit and killed around 10 p.m. near 800 South , Salt Lake police detective Mike Hamideh said.

Barton was in a group of bicyclists, but the others were far enough ahead of her that they "didn't even hear or see" Barton get hit, said Salt Lake Police Lt. Craig Gleason. Barton's friends were interviewed, but were only able to provide "garbled" information at the scene because Gleason said they were traumatized.

Barton was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, he said.

The investigation is in the earliest stages and very little information was available as to how the accident may have occurred. "(Detectives) are looking at evidence at the scene and comparing it to witness statements," Hamideh said.

The driver left the scene. Neighbors Melissa and Edvin Biogradlija rushed out of their home as soon as they heard a "big bang" and said other neighbors noted that whoever hit Barton hadn't even tried to stop.
