What in the proper inflation for a bicycle tire, size 26 x 1.75

Feb 07, 1770 by Bob C | Posted in Cycling

The max pressure is on the tire's sidewall. Some tires also have a minimum. Unless you are slogging through mud or loose dirt, I always inflate to the max pressure. It helps to avoid pinch flats.

does a 24 inch tube go on a 26 inch bicycle rim? or a 26 inch tube on a 26 inch rim? any bicycle experts?

May 14, 2009 by Benjamin O | Posted in Cycling

i have been having problem with bicycle tires. the 26 inch tube seems really long for the rim while 24 inch tube fits perfectly. However the 24 inch tube just exploded probably because of too much air. So my question is does the 24 or 26 inch tube go

26 goes with 26. It's an optical illusion that it appears too big. The 24 inch tube popped because it doesn't fit. They put the size on the tire and the tube so you won't get confused. Go with what is on the tire.

Mark is right, it's called a 'quick release skewer'. It's quite a bit longer than one inch though, unless you're referring to the lever that you tighten it with. The skewer actually goes through the axle, not the tire. It allows you to remove the whole

Will a 26 inch road bicycle tire fit replace my 700 x 32c tire?

Aug 22, 2009 by jaggy_233 | Posted in Cycling

the 29" tire is too wide to fit on such a narrow rim (26" is way too small a diameter), but as long as you have the right frame, 700c wheels can be swapped with 29".

How much air do I put in a 26" bicycle tire?

Jun 02, 2007 by Tanya H | Posted in Cycling

Look on the side wall of the tire, it will tell you the amount of air required for that specific tire.

The bike itself is great. The problem is that Pacific attempts to pre-assemble most of it and in doing so damaged the rear tire and didn’t do the installation correctly causing a serious safety hazard. It cost me $85 to have the bike re-assembled properly and to have the tire replaced. I called Pacific and they basically snubbed me saying they weren’t going to reimburse for any labor costs, which was most of it. I was furious. If I had known about the added cost up front I never would have mail ordered a bicycle and would have simply gone shopping locally. Buyer beware!
