The tires are NOT the issue. What is more likely is that you have a frame size that is too big for you. If you change tires and it still feels too big then I am CORRECT! Try it.

The rims on my bike now are 20mm wide.

For the most part you can run nearly any rim with those tires but given they are > 2 inch then the wider

Will 27" bicycle tyres fit 26" rims?

Dumb question I know but I picked up a cheap pair of 27" tyres by accident (I can take them back for a refund or exchange) and I'm wondering if they will fit an old Raleigh Chiltern which currently has 26" tyres.

Husky 26 x 2.125 Heavy duty Front Wheel w/Sturmey Archer XF-D Drum ...

I have a brand new Husky 26 x 2.125 heavy duty front wheel with a Sturmey Archer XF-D drum brake and 12ga spokes. I mounted a tire on it but other than that, it is brand new. Hasnt even been mounted to a bike. I bought it for my upcoming build but have since gone another direction. The sealed bearings feel really smooth. It comes with all the mounting hardware and the cable too. I bought it directly from Husky Bicycles. $85 gets it to your door.
