what's the correct tyre pressure on bicycle wheel size 700 x 38c?
A 700 x 38 tyre is a high pressure tire. This means you should inflate to 65- 95 psi. Pressure and volume when it comes to filling a tyre are not the same. Consider the difference with a car tyre... a bicycle tyre uses a very low volume of air at a high
Which bicycle wheel would I need for an 80s trek?
I can't remember what the bicycle shop guy said, but he was on about something like 'freewheel hub' or something. What makes this so different from typical wheels, so to speak? I didn't understand his explanation on why I couldn't just get any bicycle
There are a couple answers here that could be slightly misleading. Any 700c wheel should work as long as it fits between the frame correctly. However, don’t get confused by the terms “freewheel” and “cassette”, they look the same on the outside
Can you put thicker wheels on a road bike to use it for touring?
I own a specialized sequoia bicycle and the wheels are 700 x 25c. Is it possible to put 700 x 32c wheels on this bike? I need a touring bike so i was wondering if the bike I own would be suitable if it had thicker tires.
Hey Maddie, for the sake of minimal confusion, I'm gonna assume your Sequoia is the recent (2004-2009) version and not an earlier model.
The primary factor that limits the maximum tire size on a road bike is the effective reach of the brake
Will ultra-low gearing on a 700 mm bicycle wheel causes me to break spokes?
I'm too often on roads with hills in excess of 35% grades, and I want to put MTB gears on the chain-set of my road bike - I will have a 22 tooth front cog-wheel and a 32 tooth rear - but that will mean a LOT of torque on the rear wheel. Will I start
Your spokes are stronger then your legs so don't worry about it.
Where do you live were there are 35% + grade roads? These grades are extremely rare and very short in length. They would top the list of steepest roads in the world.
What would a 27 1 1/4" bicycle tire be in metric? 700 X ?
I'm considering going from 27 inch wheels to 700 wheels on my old road bike and i would like to keep something close to the 1 1/4" width i have now. What would that width be on a 700 tire?
A 1 1/4 inch tire = 32 mm
Why Touring Bicycles with 26inch Wheels Instead of 700c on your bikes?
The decision between 700 cm and 26 inch will have to be made early in the frame shopping process. Brake mounts and frame geometry can not be ...

This bike is just what I was looking for. I was looking for a bike that could speed on the roads while at the same time handle dirt roads. This bike handled both of these aspects perfectly and its FAST. But its also really big so if you’re going fast you’ll make huge turns. I built this bike in an hour and will post later about how it performs long term.
I got my bike almost a week ago now. I’ve put minimum 6 miles a day on it. The only problem I have encountered is shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear. It either has a hard time getting to 3rd or doesn’t make it at all. For me it’s just a matter of getting a tune up done on it. Since I don’t know the first thing about adjusting the re-railer?
Putting the bike together was a breeze, I thought it was going to be a two beer project, it turned into a half a beer. I continued on to the 2nd beer just because it was soooo easy to put the bike together i still had time to waste. HAHAHAHA

Ragley M74 review keep the price down and ends up ride-ready with its 1x9 transmission at a wallet-friendly £700. Although not quite the budget mmmBop that Ragley would like us to believe, the M74 is good enough – and cheap enough – to stand on its own two wheels. |
