My road bicycle currently has 26in wheels. Im buying new ones but am wondering if 700c wheels will fit.?

What size are 700c wheels? why are they called 700c?
There's a very slim chance that they'd fit, depending on your frame. It's not likely, but if you have the frame clearance you might be able to put them in and run a small tire (really, it's not likely). A local guy was running some 700c wheels in his

Question on bicycle wheels...?
Oct 23, 2009 by wheels | Posted in Cycling
A few weeks ago my bike got vandalized. I was able to fix everything but the wheels since they were bent so bad.
So now i need to buy new wheels and i know nothing about sizes. The tires say 700 x 45c. and it has 36 spokes.
Are all 700c
700c is the size, 45 is the width.
Some frames have a width limit for the wheels, so unless you know your frame can handle something bigger, as long as that number is 45 or smaller, it's fine.
For a road bike 45 is pretty

Will a 700c wheel fit in place of a 27" wheel on a bicycle?

Replace hub on front wheel of bicycle?
Nov 15, 2009 by Paul | Posted in Cycling
I bought a pretty decent 700c Alexrims wheel (R450) that has a low-grade Quando hub that I am thinking of upgrading to a Hope Mono hub. A local bike shop told me it is impossible to keep the wheel true after replacing a hub. Is that true? I don't see
It should stay trued once you put the new hub on it as long as it is maintained well and you have someone who actually knows how to lace put it on.

Whether you’re commuting to work or cruising around town, the Schwinn Crest urban women’s hybrid bike offers a comfortably smooth ride. The Crest is outfitted with a 17-inch aluminum hybrid frame and an SR Suntour front suspension fork, helping the bike hold up to shocks from bumpy or rough terrain. The Shimano TX-31 rear derailleur and SRAM 21-speed grip shifters, meanwhile, give you a host of gear options for flat or hilly rides. And riders will love the 700cc rims and 700 x 38c hybrid tires, which are thinner than mountain bike tires but sturdier than most road bike options. Other features include an SR Suntour front derailleur, an alloy adjustable stem with a 30mm rise comfort bar, and alloy linear pull brakes.

With its hidden cable routing the Volagi gave many their first vision of what a disk-brake road bike might really look like. Another factor has contributed to the road-disk movement: carbon rims. Wheel makers have struggled to make effective,
I am a non-professional bike mechanic that is trying to help set up a new bike for a fully sponsored junior female rider. Her team uses SRAM components and the bike will be using 700c wheels. I have checked the USA Cycling regulations and found that
Removing the tire completely is definitely required to fit a 29er mountain bike wheel into an S&S case; the rim diameter is the same 700C as on road bikes, but the tire is way too thick to fit into the case while on the rim. So my recommendation is to
