After using my mt bike gloves a few times, they start to have certain odor (sweat mixed with dirt) how do I wash them?
If I use plain ol' water, will they shrink up & be worthless?
Is there a cleaning mixture I need to buy to do it,
Put them in the sink with warm ( not hot) water and 1 teaspoon of Murphy's soap., which is made for leather and wood. Wash them by squeezing the water several times through the gloves.
Rinse with cool water and then rub the excess water out

What store(s) could I buy a gel seat for my bike and some biking gloves?
Jun 29, 2009 by Leryn | Posted in Cycling
I'm really into riding my bike this year. I ride miles and miles everyday. I would like to ride even more, but my seat isn't the most comfortable thing. I'm not sure where I could go to buy a gel seat and maybe some biking gloves. There is a bike store
I was at a Target yesterday and they had some gel seats and biking gloves.

Which road bike gloves are best reccomend for summer?
Jul 22, 2008 by Eugene the Biker | Posted in Cycling
I am about to purchase the Specialized Allez Double and begin cycling. I was looking for a good road bike glove to wear during the summer. Which brands / specific gloves do you reccomend?
IMO Specialized also make great mitts to compliment your new Allez. Looks for ones that say "BG" (Body Geometry) on them as they have little gel bits in the palms etc.
I just use a cheap pair of Campagnolo mitts.

How do you size full finger bike gloves?
Feb 07, 9120 by The_Reporter | Posted in Cycling
are your fingers supposed to touch the tips? and are the Giro gloves that dont have straps but just fit with elastics good?
cycling gloves should fit your hand like any other glove and exactly how that is is up to you (they should fit like a glove) What ever you want and however you want them to fit is entirely up to you. One size does not fit everyone....

Get Fit On 6: Cycle Boxing
10.06.11
Take red boxing gloves, combine them with a bike, and you have an intense cardio class called Cycle Boxing. It's a dynamic workout that has become a craze at many area gyms.
"The class is run for 45 minutes and generally what we do with the cycle box class is we run it ten, ten. So, we bike ten minutes and box for ten minutes," says Kristi Stasi, Fitness Director at "The Y" in Austin.
The class has become so popular that you need to reserve a spot ahead of time at "The Y". The class starts with a fast ten minute spin on the workout bikes. The charged music and beat keeps you energized. The intensity changes from slow to fast several times on the ride and hills are introducted to increase your RPM's. Within a few minutes, sweat starts pouring off of you.
This is when the strength training part of the work out kicks-in. "There's like five basic punches and so, as instructors, we change those up. You might lead off with a jab and then you add the other punches into it. Then the next time around you add a hook, then you build from there, so that's how you change up the routine. We add in some kicks sometimes too," says Stasi.
