    Shimano PD-A600

More shoe contact area than a mountain bike SPD pedal, but with the same cleat mechanism.

    Shimano PD-A600

If the PD-A520 is the equivalent of the PD-M520, then this is probably on par with the PD-M540 or XT.

    Shimano PD-A600

Road pedals for people who don't like road shoes.

Can you use clipless SPD mountain bike pedals with normal shoes?

Feb 15, 2010 by baglejon | Posted in Cycling

I'm wondering if using normal shoes with these certain pedals will be inefficient? Also, do clipless SPD mountain bike pedals have a normal flat side so that you can use it with normal shoes?

You can pedal around with regular shoes but it is not very comfortable, there are clip-less pedals that do have platforms built into them. http://www.jensonusa.com/store/product/P E707A09-Shimano+Pd-M424+Pedals.aspx If you check with a local bike shop

I have a pair of Shimano SPD pedals on and old mtn bike and need an adapter for them?

Feb 07, 8276 by Wildrover | Posted in Cycling

I have an old Specialized w/ Shimano SPD pedals. Does anyone know where I can get a set of adapters to allow me to use regualar street shoes or sandals with these? Thinking of a platform that someone makes that will allow slow cruising without wearing

ask at your local bike shop if they have any of the snap in platforms that often come with bikes with SPD pedals. they snap in, and give you a platform on one side. I may have a couple of sets in my bike shed..

Do SPD pedals make a difference to riding a bike?

Feb 17, 2010 by mtb | Posted in Cycling

going away in few weeks to Cwmcarn mountain biking, just wondering if the spd pedals make a lot of differnce when pedaling up hill and x country???

Yes. Normally you use 1/3 of your rotation to power yourself along. I.E. push down with foot. However, clipped in you get to use 2/3 of your rotation so that, as one foot pushes down, another is pulling up. This allows you to make a smoother rotation.

which cleats are best to use on SPD shoes for a spinning bike?

Feb 07, 9261 by kittykat | Posted in Cycling

Have bought a pair of ladies SPD shoes to use for spinning and I want to know which cleats will be best? Shoes are made by Scott. Have been told any cleat should ft a spinning bike pedal?

Your local bike shop will sell SPD cleats. You may have to remove a marked section of the shoe's sole to get access to the screw holes that hold the cleat. Mounting cleats is not hard to do. If it isn't clear to you, ask the people at the bike shop. They

how to remove shemano pedals from my bike?

Jul 18, 2010 by Jimmy J | Posted in Cycling

HI,
I bought very nice spcialized biking shoes and the guy at the store told me to buy shemano pedals (SPD SL) for it.

They remove my bikes pedals and put on shemano pedals.

And now I want to put on my bike pedals

Get a 15mm wrench and put it on the little 2 sided bit that connects the pedal to the crank arm. You need to wrench it to the rear of the bike to unscrew it, because one of the pedals has to be reverse threaded, complicated but anyway, yeah and to put

DZR Strasse shoe

07.02.90

Road.cc also tested recently , change the game somewhat. They're well built and have hard-wearing, bike-friendly features, such as the rubber scuff pad around the toes and the reflective detailing. DZR claim to have moved the flex point of the sole further forward to give the shoe a natural gait, while retaining some stiffness, and this may well be true. They are, nevertheless, definitely trainers. The soles are chunky and durable (as I realised after staring at them for a prolonged period in close up, cutting out the panel to reveal the cleat fitting), but, to be honest, they're not that stiff, but that's not really a criticism. Once you mount the cleats, on a standard two-bolt fitting, you can walk naturally and you rarely if ever get metal-scrape on the floor (a problem caused by thin soles exposing the cleat - which is often inevitable, given that manufacturers have to allow cleat clearance for many different types of pedal). Despite their weight, I often forgot they were SPD shoes while I was wearing them around town. The high heel cup tilted my foot forward a bit, but I soon got used to that.

Shimano MTB shoes can help improve your lap

Many runners start with a decent new bike. They wear sportswear ordinary bike and start immediately. Unfortunately, they know they can save energy and go faster and faster only a small adjustment to their clothes - and it is through the use of mountain bike shoes as provided by Shimano.

Shimano is a trusted name in the cycling community. They have been around for years and engineers to know all the details of engineering cycling.
