Huffy M80 BMX replacement crankset - what crank do I need to buy?
Sep 02, 2007 by spencer19_82 | Posted in Cycling
Its a 3 piece crank and the specs of the bike are here: http://airfreetires.com/Specs/Step5.asp? BikeId=4436&Brand=Huffy&Model=M% 2D80&Year=2004
Problem is there is no info about the size of the spindle, I guess I only need a crank
I'm almost 100% sure it would have a 22mm spindle. Just grab a metric ruler or tape measure and measure the inside diameter of the bottom bracket bearings.

Mirraco 3-Pc Crmo 175mm, 19mmx8-spline Crmo axle, Is that good for street and dirt jumping? Im not sure...
Mirraco is Dave Mirra's bike company and should be decent parts for the money.
I'd say if the cranks are in the $100-$125 range that'd be 'bout right.

For anyone wondering what sprocket/driver combo to run, read this. It’s all about gear inches. For all around performance, 55 is the magic number. The formula is “sprocket/driver x wheel diameter” so for example 25/9×20=55.555. If you want more top speed, then you’ll shoot for something above 55 (i.e 28/9) If you want more low end power, and easier acceleration, get something lower (i.e. 25/12)
