So, Saturday they had a yard-sale at the church down the street, that I had forgot about till about 9am.
Short story even shorter, I picked this bad boy up for $5."This is what they where asking, I could not bear to talk them down any lower."

My new bike frame. 2009 Trek 8500. Tried a new technique for these shots. I call it PMF, or poor man's flash. I hand held a 20 year old flash while keeping the exposure to around 1/2 a second. I remotely tripped the shutter, while simultaneously hitting the test button on the flash. It took me...

I have a Trek 850 CroMoly frame mountain bike with some rust. How much can I sell it for? Thanks!?

It was purchased in 1995, rode for 2 weeks and it's been in storage ever since.
I'd just donate it to Goodwill and take a tax write off. A brand new 820 is only about $250, and it's a way better bike than a ten year old 850.

i found a trek 4300 mountain bike frame can anyone tell me how much it is worth..( silver and blue)?

I've owned one for 10 years and its held up great with no frame or component related problems but it is a bit dated as far as aluminum frame mountain bicycles go. Its what they call a hard tail and hard tails have taken a back seat to suspension bikes

What is the spindle length and bottom bracket shell width on a 2003 Trek Fuel 90 mountain bike frame?
May 30, 2010 by Nameless187 | Posted in Cycling
I am going to buy a new crankset for my 2003 Trek Fuel 90, and know that I will need a new bottom bracket as well. But I am unable to accurately measure the spindle length and bottom bracket shell width at this time (click on this link if you don't know
Will the frame of a Trek 3900 mountain bike take a rear disc/caliper assembley?

Some technical advise would be much appreciated!
If there's a couple of threaded screw holes on the left hand seat-stay [just above the rear hub] running parallel to the axel then yes...
But you'll also need your hubs to be disc specific, on the left hand side of the hubs should be six holes

How much is my used mountain bike worth? 1994 Trek 8200, Mens 19.5" frame with 26' wheels, lightly used
Sep 15, 2007 by Minimalist | Posted in Cycling
Original retail price $360 in 1994. Very lightly used, mostly on pavement, then stored indoors for the past 9 years...
It's actually an 820--sorry for the typo!
Jman: I'm not sure I even know what I have. Why would my bike be worth that much?!
A very old bike. Since it has "Trek" on it you can probably get $100 for it. It's a popular brand so you'll get a little more for those 4 letters.

Beach Cruiser Bikes A Summer Tradition
22.05.11
Beach cruiser bikes are one of the Jersey Shores' most notable items. They are well built, affordable and always in style. Not only are beach cruisers a lot of fun, but they also come in a wide variety of colors and styles.
James McCartney of Beachwood Bicycles recently sat down with Toms River Patch to explain what a beach cruiser is: "It's traditionally designed to be ascetically pleasing and comfortable," said McCartney. "Obviously it holds true to the name and is meant to be ridden along the beach, on the boardwalk."
McCartney, who not only sells beach cruisers, but helps build and maintain them, spoke about the models they offer and differences between basic and advanced beach cruisers: "We carry a lot of different brands like Electra, Sun Cruisers, Schwinn, but as far as quality Electras are the best quality." said McCartney. "It's all in the manufacturing; as far as the paint, the quality of the welds, the quality of the bends, these things determine how long the bike will last. All the features offer a really good ride, very comfortable and very upright."

I am looking for a used bike on craigslist and wondering what brands are generally reliable and what are not (i.e. which brands are department store brands). I don’t need anything fancy, just something that gets me from point A to point B without any hassle.
I’m going to be mostly riding on roads to get to college, but I don’t like super skinny wheels so I don’t know if what kind of bike I’ll get- mountain, road, or hybrid. Also, I’m 5′4"- what size frame will I need?
(A few brands I’ve seen so far: Magna, Raleigh, Royce Union, Diamondback, Huffy, Free Spirit, Nishiki, Kensington, Mongoose)
It’s easier to think about it this way: Only look at bike brands you have seen in a bike shop.
Stay away, far away, from Roadmaster, Huffy, Murray, Columbia, and anything else you have ever seen at WalMart, Target, or Toys-R-Us. There are bikes that are both crap and good stuff, like Schwinn. If you can’t look at the bike and tell if it’s good or crap, then best to avoid that brand.
by VecchioJo on January 25, 2012 - 12:30 Trek haven't ever made much noise in the cyclo-cross arena; it's not a brand that instantly springs to mind when pondering a new CX bike. They've probably been too busy with their successful road and mountain
