You Ask They Answer

Are there any bike pedals that can be used on road and mountain bikes? (so I can use the same shoes)?

You can use mountain pedals without any problem on road bikes, so you could have the same system on both bikes, just don't show them to your roadie friends ;)

First of all, minor correction not meant to be rude....Wellgo is THE major manufacturer of pedals for many companies worldwide, it's not a house brand for Nashbar (although they make Nashbar's house-labeled pedals, along with plenty of other private-labeled

MOUNTAIN BIKE SHOES? TOO DANGEROUS?

Feb 07, 2009 by I love emo girls with sex hair!! | Posted in Cycling

I have been going to the B.M.X. track on my mountain bike lately and I am finding MTB shoes where you clip the shoes into specialized pedals that you can buy for your bicycle, these would come in handy for instance stopping my feet sliding of the pedals

i would not recomend the shoes and pedals for jumping. get some stomp or platform pedals. their pretty big and they have some pretty long medal knobs that keep your feet on the bike. they range from 20 -150 for the really nice ones. go for the cheap

what kind of pedals should i get for my mountain bike?

Feb 07, 1562 by Wil | Posted in Cycling

i do no like clipless pedals. i had a bad experience and couldnt get out while falling. i want something modern but like the older style strap in pedals. you know the ones that is like a regular pedal but has a strap to go over regular shoes? is there

I urge you to reconsider your opinion on clipless pedals!

I have ridden both and found pedals with straps downright dangerous, I will never ride those pedals again.

There must be a good reason why ALL pros ride with clipless???

will these pedals fit these shoes?

Jan 07, 2009 by louio peetio | Posted in Cycling

http://www.performancebike.com/shop/prof ile.cfm?sku=25292---these are the shoes will they fit these pedals

if not can you please

The shoes will work with the cleats. They are both the 2-bolt Shimano SPD system. The pedals come with the first set of cleats, so you should be good to go.

The 2 most popular systems for clipless pedals are the 2-bolt Shimano SPD system

Out of the saddle, but not the Ride

Dr. Brady Allen of the Uptown Physicians Group has tended unstintingly to medical needs of the gay community for last 30 years. And in the last two years, he’s gone from casual spin and mountain bike cyclist to Lone Star Ride participant.

The transformation began in 2009.

Allen had just moved back to Dallas after a brief period of retirement in Seattle, and friends suggested he become involved in the LSR.

He needed little urging: Road biking on behalf of a cause he believed in seemed the perfect way to re-integrate himself into the community.

“I’d been involved [in the fight against AIDS] since 1982,” says the 57-year-old internist. “So I had memories of people who had passed on, including my best friend and a couple of favorite patients of mine. I think about [them] a lot.”

Allen’s 2010 LSR debut was impressive. Not only was he the third-highest fundraiser — bringing in $6,000 for the event — he also finished second overall in the 45-mile Sunday leg of the ride after the Saturday ride was rained out.
