/PRNewswire/ -- The Pinnaclife Bike Racing Team is no stranger to success. Competing in road races across the United States, the team of men aged 45 to 66 years of age, consistently vies for first place among all elite bike races. This past weekend, the team took home gold in the California State Road Race, and two state championships and three 2nd places in the California State Time Trials.
"The (road) race was very difficult, with lots of pot-holes, cows in the road, and riders going into the dirt and pavement. It was very exciting to say the least," said team president, Dave Prechtl. "We went out with a plan to bring the race down to sprint finish. We did a great job of covering breaks, working the front and making sure nothing went up the road. Several very hard attacks all came back together, and the team moved to the front for the last two miles. My team put me into a position to take the fastest wheel on the finishing straight; clear wheels across the finish line with no one even close. This is teamwork at it's finest. I love it when a plan comes together."
